- You have the option to completely disable insurance. Please note that if you select that you do not want to insure your package, you will not be able to file a claim for the package at all, so it is not recommended.
- Warehouse and No Photo insurance removed, effective immediately.
- If you decide to insure package, you will have two options:
- Delivery insurance - this covers complete loss of the package during transport, but does not cover damaged or missing items in delivered package.
- Delivery + Damage insurance - covers complete loss of the package AND missing or damaged items. Insurance rates for both delivery and delivery+damage coverages are the same, but for delivery+damage coverage, you will need to have content photos for your package, otherwise you won't be able to select it.
- Insurance rates changed slightly:
- For TNT, FedEx and DHL, extra insurance surcharges were completely removed, so the insurance is cheaper than before.
- USPS insurance rates should be about the same, difference should not be bigger than few cents up or down.
- Airmail Priority and Airmail Express insurance is little higher than before.
- There will be different rules for filing claims in different countries, which should help Shipito to process and pay the claims faster than in the past.
