We have a nice collection of Magformers magnetic construction sets. My kid loves them a lot. The Magformers set is cheap it sold for about $1 per magnetic piece.
Guidecraft PowerClix Frames doesn't boast that many variations of pieces and magnetic construction sets, but it is good enough anyway. Especially for the price of $83.95 for a 100 piece set.
Guidecraft PowerClix Frames has much fewer reviews than Magformers, so you may expect more sales of such magnetic sets. This is a great deal for you buck.
Please note that PowerClix Frames are not compatible with Magformers. The magnets in PowerClix frames are placed in the corners of the pieces, whereas the magnets in Magformers are placed in the middle of the pieces.
