Comparing BundleBox and Shipito shipping rates

Unlike Shipito, BundleBox offers shipping via Fedex only. It might be the most reliable shipping method, but it is the most expensive one:

It costed me $121.89 to ship my last 12.30 lbs (5.58 kg) 17"×13"×10" (44×34×26 cm) package to Russia via USPS Express Mail International. Compare with $290 for a 10.00 lbs package sent by Fedex Regular Mail via BundleBox. So even if you pay $50/year for the "VIRTUAL MAILBOX" plan on shipito (there are other options available as well), it will still be cheaper to use Shipito.

And even if you want to use Fedex only, Shipito offers FedEx, FedEx MPS, Fedex Freight. Plus you will be able to use other shipping methods in the future (USPS Express Mail, USPS Priority Mail, USPS Flat rate box and Flat rate envelope, UPS, Polonez Parcel, TNT, Shipito Air Mail and DHL).

Comparing additional features of BundleBox and Shipito

Like BundleBox, Shipito offers package consolidation and assisted purchases. BundleBox has no hidden charges, no checkout fees, no ongoing monthly fees. Shipito fee structure is slightly more difficult depending on whether you want to consolidate your packages or not, but still it is pretty simple.

Bottom line: Shipito is a clear winner

I prefer Shipito to BundleBox. Any idea why to use BundleBox?

  1. " Any idea why to use BundleBox? "

    This is Nicola with BundleBox.

First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to write this post. And thanks for sharing your points of view with us. Hope you will allow my reply to your post.

I would say: it is hard to find a "clear winner" as it really depends on what you are shipping and what is the level of service that you request / you are comfortable with.

BundleBox is well known for its great service and reliable delivery with FedEx.

So, if you are a user who is likely to ship branded apparel, shoes, hightech, gear/equipment - you might want to try BundleBox.
The same, if you are a user that ships often and on a regularly basis, as we allow 20% off shipping charges if you book your shipment within 30 days.

    In particular, I would say:

    1) USPS and FedEx are comparable only to a certain extent, as the level of service is rather different and that explains most of the gap in charges.

    2) BundleBox strives to offer an outstanding service to its users

    3) Last but not least (and I guess you mentioned this point in the paragraph "Comparing additional features"), BundleBox model is transparent, simple and flexible, with no monthly, no ancillary and no hidden charges. What you see is really what you get and all services (consolidation, Personal Shopper and insurance) are always available upon request. In particular, the option to consolidate your parcels makes a substantial difference, as users can save a lot on shipping charges.

I hope this makes sense, Best of luck N

  2. 1) I agree. USPS and Fedex are different. My comparison is more about a cheaper shipping method, not only because is not an option for shipping to Russia:
Fedex is about service and USPS is about lost and damaged packages?

    3) I pay $50 for my annual service plan, a $8.50 mail out fee, $2 per consolidated package, postage with insuarance, a 4.13% bank fee (this can be seen on my picture above). Pretty simple I suppose. The fees are pretty low... in fact the lowest fees I have seen (although I saw very small companies with lower fees, I didn't want to risk using them).

And yes, Shipito offers package consolidation and it allowed me to save a lot:
What is package consolidation and can you save by consolidating packages when using Shipito?

  3. Another reason to Shipito vs. BundleBox or MyUS parcel/pacage forwarding services is that it allows to ship to APO/FPO military addresses. The only way to do it is by USPS. Neither Fedex, nor UPS or DHL can ship to APO/FPO addresses.

  4. Another bad thing about bundlebox is the customer service. My account is brand new and after contacting them regarding a package, they banned my account and ignored all subsequent emails without recourse. I would avoid them. Their shipping fees are high anyway.

  5. Can I use Bundlebox to forward my mail from USA to Brazil?

  6. This is the right site for anyone who would like to find out about this topic.

You realize so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I
actually will need to...HaHa). You certainly put a new spin on a topic which has been discussed for years.
    Excellent stuff, just wonderful!
